Toothpaste can be one of the causes for breakouts around the mouth. They commonly contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which besides being an irritant is comedogenic.
Toothpaste can also cause burns and hyperpigmentation when it is applied topically to pimples. It is due to the oils and mints in them. It is best to try and avoid letting the toothpaste and water run down your face. We recommend cleansing and using your products after brushing your teeth to help remove the residue.
