Hyaluronic Acid keeps the skin moist and elastic. It is used to hydrate the skin and smooth out fine lines. Hyaluronic Acid production in the skin reduces as we age, resulting in the loss of elasticity which develops as wrinkles. It plays an important role in tissue regeneration and prevention of scarring.
Not all Hyaluronic Acid is created equally. The molecular weight of Hyaluronic Acid used in our products is 50kDA. This is a low molecular weight which ensures maximum skin penetration without side effects. Larger weights do not penetrate the skin as readily. Weights less than 20kDA have been shown to induce an inflammatory response in the skin. 50kDA is the optimum molecular size for penetration and maximum regulation of gene expression.
