How is Roccoco Botanicals Soothing Cleansing Oil Different? – The majority of cleansing oils on the market truly don’t respect or look after acne or barrier compromised skins and contain oils that are comedogenic or disrupt the skin barrier. The issue with many brands as well is that the formulas from a chemistry perspective do not stack up. They don’t contain the right proportions of lipids and often they don’t contain any surfactant which is necessary to remove the oil from the skin, so you are not left greasy. In order for a cleansing oil to remove makeup effectively they need both polar and non-polar lipids in the formulation. Vegetable oils only give one type of lipid and that is the polar type. It is important for acne-prone skin to keep hydrated because when the skin is dehydrated, it can overproduce sebum (oil) to compensate for the lack of moisture. This excessive sebum production can lead to clogged pores and increased acne breakouts. Additionally, maintaining proper hydration helps to balance the skin’s natural oil production, promote a healthy skin barrier, and support the skin’s healing and regeneration processes. Hydrated skin is also less prone to inflammation and irritation, which can further aggravate acne.
INSTRUCTIONS: With dry face and hands, massage over the face for at least 30 seconds. Remove with a face cloth and warm water. If you are removing makeup you will need to do a double cleanse. Use AM and PM for best results.
